Cardno International Development is now a DT Global company

WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 30, 2022): Cardno International Development (Cardno ID) is pleased to announce it has joined the DT Global family. As of today, DT Global, a leading international development services provider, has completed the acquisition of Cardno International Development, including its permanent offices in Australia, the U.S., Indonesia, Uganda, Kenya, the Philippines, and Papua New Guinea. This acquisition significantly enhances DT Global’s capacity as a top tier international development supplier in key markets around the world.

Since 1969, Cardno ID has partnered with governments, communities, and the private sector to deliver results for sustainable, empowered, and inclusive development. Cardno ID currently manages over 90 projects globally for its core clients, including the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). With more than 1,600 highly skilled professional staff, Cardno ID brings to the DT Global family a rich history of projects across a wide variety of sectors including environment and infrastructure, agriculture and rural development, public financial management, economic growth, governance, gender, and global health. Like DT Global, Cardno ID is committed to building partnerships and empowering local voices. This exciting acquisition establishes DT Global as one of the most diversified international development players in the market, allowing DT Global to leverage experience and apply best practices from major partners to strengthen its programming around the world.

“Since announcing the acquisition of Cardno International Development in March of this year, our teams have been eager to start collaborating with one another to create impact and transform lives at a greater scale than previously possible. I would like to welcome Cardno ID’s 1,600+ employees and look forward to realizing the opportunities that lie ahead,” says Torge Gerlach, Chief Executive Officer of DT Global. “Cardno ID Asia-Pacific significantly enhances our presence in the region, with a large number of corporate offices and project activities, allowing us to better serve our clients as the area continues to grow in geo-political importance. Similarly, the addition of Cardno ID US strengthens our partnership with USAID in key areas, including economic growth and governance as well as environment and infrastructure, and further enhances our relationship with the MCC and its compact country programs.”

“We are excited to be joining DT Global and see this partnership as an excellent opportunity for both organisations to provide even better development programming for our global clients and stakeholders,” said Colin Adams, Managing Director of Cardno ID Asia-Pacific. Jaleen Moroney, President of Cardno ID US went on to say, “Our diverse and passionate staff are excited about the new range of possibilities that this merger provides. As part of DT Global, we look forward to delivering enhanced value and comprehensive development services to our global clients and to expanding our shared work driving innovation and strengthening communities.”

With the acquisition of Cardno International Development, DT Global will have its corporate head offices in London, Madrid, Melbourne, and Washington D.C., as well as numerous regional satellite offices supporting its operations globally. Through their long- and short-term presence in over 90 countries, DT Global’s 2,100+ employees support the critical missions of its core clients, including DFAT, USAID, MCC, the U.K. Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), the European Commission, and the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT), as well as other public and private sector stakeholders. Cardno International Development will retain its name and brand during a short transition period operating as Cardno International Development, a DT Global Company.
